Welcoming the Stranger: A Movement Seder

Event closed

We are overwhelmed by the response and interest in the seder. We are now over capacity. If you'd like to be added to the waitlist, email rachel@sumekh.com to be informed of any additional seats that open up.

The Passover Seder tells the story of a family seeking refuge from famine, finding shelter in a new land, and later enduring oppression under a capricious ruler. Their journey—from migration and bondage to freedom—is central to the story of the Jewish people and resonates across generations and traditions.

At a time when Trump Administration policies targeting refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers grow ever harsher, this Seder is more than a ritual—it is a call to action. Through storytelling, song, and shared tradition, we will lift up the voices of our multiethnic, multiracial Los Angeles community and reaffirm our commitment to freedom and justice.

Join us in solidarity and hope.

This program is hosted by Jewish Partnership for Los Angeles.
