Alex Coutinho brief bio:
Alex Coutinho approached the samba world in Rio in 2002 with the samba school of Academics of Grande Rio and the project of Mestre-sala (Master of Ceremony) of Pimpolhos of Grande Rio.
In the same year, he was invited to join the ala of Paraiso do Tuiuti's passistas and paraded intensively until 2008 when he was invited by the school's President, Renato Thor, to be coordinator of the school's passistas.
At that time he was already a dancer in the Salgueiro's show group (2008-2016), directed by Carlinhos do Salgueiro, who is still the greatest professional reference. Furthermore, he also danced for Uniao da Ilha (2013 and 2014) and other associations that are now in Series A, including Alegria da Zona Sul (2014-2017) as a semi-destaque on a float.
Through the years, Alex has dedicated himself to the growth of the ala of Passistas of Tuiuti. He works with all passistas to energize the school and make it so that the ala has the strength to stand alone and uphold a tradition that no longer exists in Carnaval, and this way, making the ala prestigious in it's own right.
The ala of Passistas has been awarded many prizes over the years, rising to prominence in 2016 when they were awarded with 8 awards, including Best Ensemble of Passistas. This success has led to ranking higher in various years, setting a trend of samba no pé in many cities all over Brazil and all over the world.
Today, Alex garners respect and critical acclaim for samba no pé across the world and for making the ala of Passistas of Tuiuti one of the most sought after alas today.
