We are excited for you to see this historic house, a rare architectural gem in the esteemed Brownell Howland neighborhood. We promise an evening of historical discovery, architectural appreciation, and (of course) good company.  We will be celebrating the invaluable efforts of the Old Santa Fe Association (OSFA) in preserving the city’s unique heritage. Come toast the actions and work of the organization protecting Santa Fe streetscapes, educating the public about the city’s distinctive history, and spotlighting neglected corners of our region’s past. OSFA has some exciting future projects, including a forthcoming publication on the history of preservation in Santa Fe, to share. Enjoy sunset libations with regional dinner and live music amidst breathtaking views as you explore this remarkable adobe property. The house is brimming with history and our evening together will bring out stories and characters of old. Engage with insightful talks on Santa Fe’s rich history and future, and savor delightful surprises, including a special preview of "Going Santa Fe," a documentary by Anne Davis Mulford. Our enchanting gathering promises an unforgettable experience of culture, inspiration, and camaraderie. Due to changing architectural tastes, the 1926 Davenport House is one of the few remaining original old adobes in the upscale Brownell Howland neighborhood.  Built-in the “School of John Gaw Meem,” the 1926 Davenport House has been responsibly preserved for nearly 100 years. OSFA, founded by Meem, and this home, coincidentally share the same birth year! For planning purposes, please secure your ticket and RSVP before October 9th, if possible. Late registrations accepted. OSFA has recently been awarded 501(c)(3) tax status.
