Home, HOPE & Promise | March 9th | 6 PMThe Women’s’ Club - 1513 Cristobal Dr. Tallahassee, FL What is the Home, HOPE & Promise event?Big Bend Homeless Coalition is hosting their first annual fundraising event to assist with their mission to provide housing to homeless families and veterans. The event will also be an opportunity to launch their new name: Family Promise – which will integrate them into a network of family shelters across the country with a like mission. Additionally, this event provides an opportunity to honor key members of our community that have made a difference as our housing champions.  This year’s awardees are: Representative Allison Tant, Leon County’s Shington Lamy and the Junior League of Tallahassee. Who will attend the event?We anticipate 200 key leaders in Tallahassee who are involved in supporting housing efforts as sponsors, volunteers and donors. The co-chairs for the 2023 event are Shamarial Roberson and Allison Kingry. What is the goal?The goal is to raise support for Big Bend Homeless Coalition. • BBHC operates the only homeless shelter serving families in the greater Big Bend region. Daily, there are approximately 175 persons served, and a wait list of 50 more families.• BBHC also operates affordable housing and is the largest entity, outside of the VA, providing housing services to veterans in need. Last year we provided housing assistance to over 300 veterans.
