Tom was instrumental in keeping the Iroquois Little League running over a span of more than 50 years. 40 years ago, he began the Mayor's Cup Tournament as a way to add more babseball to the season. Over the years Corey Bartlett and Rich Holmes joined in this endeavor. It's now in its 40th Anniversary year and the 3 men who made this tournament happen each year have all passed on. Tom's family is continuing this legacy of tournament play and have set up the Tom Roberts Memorial Scholarship Fund. Proceeds of this sale will go to the Tom Roberts Memorial Scholarship Fund. Your purchase will help kids be able to continue with their love of baseball and softball.

Tom would be thrilled to see that the tournament is continuing. He spoke in great length with his granson, Kyle in the final weeks regarding his wishes.  Tom loved his family immensely, but baseball/softball came a close second. He spent countless hours on the fields coaching the youth in his community. He volunteered his time and energy for years to Little League in so many capacities from District 1 Administrator, coach, board member, to still coaching for the 2023 season even when his health was failing. He couldn't be stopped. It's what he loved.  The family has set up the Tom Roberts Scholarship Fund. This is where the proceeds from the sale will be sent. Tom's legacy will continue to live on and support the youth in need to foster the love of baseball and softball.
