WE ARE VB works in partnership with administrators, educators and social workers throughout the Virginia Beach City school system. For the past five years, WE ARE VB has been committed to implementing programs that meet the immediate needs of high school students and lay the groundwork for consistent, long-term support programs that foster self-esteem, dignity and an ability to meet their full potential as students and citizens.  As we enter year 6 of being difference-makers in our community, we are hosting our first ever fundraising event - BLUEGRASS BY THE BAY - at First Landing State Park on Saturday, August 26 from 6-9 PM. There will be live music performed by More Perfect Jones, gourmet food catered by Aloha Snacks, food for the relaxed, as well as beer and wine selections.  Ticket prices are $80 (before 8/1) or $95 (after 8/1), and parking is included with each ticket. Space is limited at the park, so we do encourage carpooling!  We hope you can join us for an evening to celebrate the end of summer and raise some funds to support the WE ARE VB mission and break down barriers for homeless and at-risk students in our VB community. All proceeds benefit WE ARE VB!!!
