Here is more information ...
Music at the Pointe (MAP), our annual carnival-style fundraiser, takes place at South Pointe Middle School (SPMS) and supports our band program. The event is organized by the South Pointe Performing Arts Boosters (SPPAB), a non-profit organization of dedicated parent volunteers. Our mission is to:
- Raise Funds: SPPAB works diligently to raise funds that directly benefit the SPMS Band Program.
- Communicate with Parents: They serve as a vital communication link between the band program and parents.
- Manage Event Logistics: SPPAB handles the intricate details of organizing MAP, ensuring its success.
- Assist with Trip Planning: When planning trips or special events, SPPAB plays a crucial role.
- Coordinate Volunteers: Dedicated parent volunteers come together to make all band school events happen.
It’s important to note that for MAP, SPPAB incurs expenses related to using the school campus, including compensating custodians, kitchen staff, and managing other logistical aspects. These costs are essential for maintaining a clean and functional environment during the event. By supporting SPPAB, we contribute to the success of MAP and the overall enrichment of the SPMS Band Program. The upcoming MAP even is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Pre-sale ticket prices end on April 19, 2024.
