On June 9, Newton Baroque will play a concert of Biber Partitas from the Harmonia artificioso-ariosa at the Tage Alter Musik, the premier German early music festival in Regensburg, Germany.  We have the wonderful opportunity to play that concert in the Imperial Hall, a structure built in 1330 that eventually became the home of a standing Diet of the Imperial Bishops in 1663.  Composer Johann Jakob Froberger himself travelled to Regensburg that year to participate in the Diet.  Before we depart for our European debut, we will offer the same concert on our own Boston series in May.
