On March 6, 2027, step into the creative whirlwind of The Ghostlight Stage Company’s 72 Hour Arts Festival: Illumination — Finding Authentic Expression in a World Afraid to Stand Out — with Art Prom, an interactive night of art-making, live performance, music, dancing, and community at the Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum. For 72 hours, professional artists across disciplines will be challenged to collaborate and create brand-new work inspired by this year’s theme. On Saturday night, the art doesn’t stop at the gallery walls — you’re invited to become part of it.Part art party, part prom, and part interactive arts experience, Art Prom is a come-and-go evening where festival artwork transforms into interactive experiences. Throughout the night, attendees can create, experiment, play, and collaborate alongside festival artists at interactive stations, experience works still in progress, enjoy live performances by queer artists, dance the night away to a local DJ, and connect with fellow artists and arts lovers. And, of course, what’s a prom without a dress code? This year’s theme is “Embrace Your Inner Light.” Show up in your most expressive look — whatever makes you feel bold, bright, creative, and authentically yourself. Go all out, dress to SHINE & STAND OUT, or interpret the theme completely your own way. There will be a "best dressed" competition of course with prizes! ✨ Taking the festival theme one step further, Art Prom is an invitation to let yourself shine, celebrate individuality, and experience art in a way that is joyful, engaging, and true to you. Whether you jump into creating something yourself, hit the dance floor, or simply take in the energy of dozens of artists and community members creating under one roof, there’s a place for you. Everything created throughout the weekend falls under the festival theme:“Illumination — Finding Authentic Expression in a World Afraid to Stand Out.” You can also reserve your ticket to see all the completed artworks for the Gallery Show happening on the following day (March 7) here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/72-hour-arts-festival-gallery-show Come make something.
