Please provide your own extension cord (minimum 50 ft.) and power strip.-Sample cups, spoons, gloves, ballot box, crackers and sampling ladles will be provided. Any additional items will need approval. *NEW Chef incentive this year is for all Chili & Soup Entry Chefs to help pre-sell tasting wristbands to the event. Tasters that sign-up using the event QR Code will be able to note the Chef's name that they are coming to support! This just might help secure your entry to win the People's Choice Award - $100!

We are thrilled to invite you to our annual Chili &amp; Soup Cook-off, a flavorful celebration of culinary creativity and community spirit! Whether you’re a master chef ready to showcase your secret chili or soup recipe or a chili &amp; soup enthusiast eager to savor a variety of delicious entries, this event promises to be a fun and tasty experience for all. Join us for a day filled with friendly competition, great food, and lively company. Best of all, every spoonful you enjoy supports our beloved Horner Park, helping us maintain and improve this vital community space. This year we’re adding live music, face painting, and other family friendly activities for the entire family to enjoy! Wristbands for chili &amp; soup sampling (unlimited tasting) will be sold at the event for $10 each and pre-sold at the discounted rate of $8 each if purchased prior to the event. Individual bowls of chili &amp; soup will also be sold as well as a children’s meal deal, desserts, and beverages. Please note, no alcohol will be sold at this event, but we do invite you to BYOB. Chili &amp; Soup Voting:-Tasters will be given a ticket to vote for the People’s Choice Award. -People’s Choice votes will be counted at 1:30pm.-At approximately 11:30am a representative will collect samples for judging. Each chili and soup sample will be concealed for the judging. Winners will be announced at 2:00pm.-There will be a People’s Choice winner, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as selected by the judges.-Chili and soup will be judged based on taste, color, consistency, aroma and after taste.-Prizes will be as follows: People’s Choice - $100, 1st Place - $200, 2nd Place - $100 and 3rd Place - $50 Dessert Donations:-We are also looking for dessert donations to be sold at the event.
