Operation BBQ - Rebuilding the Alert Fire Company's BBQ The Alert Fire Company is an all volunteer fire company that operates out of Downingtown, Pennsylvania.  The Alert hosts their annual Chicken BBQ every August.  This is a major fundraiser event for the fire company, however, the existing BBQ pit has seen better days!  To improve the safety of the food preparation as well as the efficiency of cooking over 1000 meals, my Eagle Scout project will be to build a modern Chicken BBQ pit that is 4 feet by 16 feet long on a new concrete patio that is 16 x 28 feet long.  The patio will be large enough to safely handle the cooking apparatus on concrete rather than grass.  Additionally, the patio will have a water spicket for easy cleanup as well as an outdoor electrical outlet for cooking appliances. To raise money for this project, a set of custom Eagle's Corn Hole Board will be raffled off.  The raffle will go off at the Alert Fire Company Chicken BBQ on August 17th, 2024.  Tickets may be purchased individually for $10 a ticket, 3 for $25, 7 for $50.  All proceeds go to fund this project and the Alert Fire Company. You do NOT need to be present to win and these cool boards will be shipped, free of charge, anywhere in the world to the lucky winner!

By rebuilding the BBQ Pit, the Alert Fire Company's Annual Chicken BBQ will be even better!  The Chicken BBQ is one of the Alert Fire Company's major fundraising events that happens every August.
