Following is the plan for the road trip to DC on a chartered bus. Departure times are subject to change slightly.

Depart Lansing 9pm, Friday, Jan 12

Arrive in Washington DC, 9am, Saturday, Jan 13

The March on Washington Rally starts at 1 pm, Jan 13

Depart from Washington DC 9pm, Saturday, Jan 13

Arrive back in Lansing 9am, Sunday, Jan 14

Ticket cost/person is $150

Reservation are on first-come-first-served basis. 

Ticket sales will be closed once the bus capacity is reached.

Upon completing purchase of your ticket, you will receive an email confirming your Reservation. The confirmation email will include a Mandatory Waiver Form which you must email back to info@lansingislam.com.

Do I have to pay the additional contribution fee of 22%?

No, not required. This is a voluntary donation to the ticketing portal company. 

You can adjust the amount percentage OR, pay nothing if you don't want to by selecting Other and enter $0.

Can my family go with me? Can a Sister go by herself?

Yes, this is a family friendly trip. We anticipate men, women and children to be travelling on the bus.

Can I send my child? 

Anyone under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Tell me more about the travel?

The trip will take about 10 hours.

There is a toilet in the bus. (and Porta Potties at the rally site) 

The bus will stop in one or two rest areas for meals/bathroom break.

Will meals be provided?

Water/Juice/Snacks will be provided during the journey. 

When will I know the finalized schedule?

Can non-Muslims join this rally?

Yes, it is open to anyone. This trip is organized by concerned members of the Lansing Community. The Islamic Center of East Lansing is only a facilitator.

Will the bus wait for me as I am working that day?

No, the bus will depart at the contracted time from the Islamic Center of East Lansing and from Washington DC as well.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

Unfortunately, no. But, we will try to fill the seat with another buyer or someone who is unable to pay if you wish to treat it as a donation.

How can I get my ticket?

Upon purchase of the ticket, you will be emailed the ticket which you need to present (paper or electronic) in order to board the bus.

Can I buy multiple tickets?

Yes, you can select the number of tickets in a single purchase and all will be under one name.

Can I volunteer?

Yes, we need responsible individuals to serve as volunteers in the planning and execution of this trip. Please email info@lansingislam.com if you are a passenger and would also like to volunteer with the trip.
