The Friends of Point Beach ( FOPB) are pleased to announce the first ever Lakeshore Shipwreck Sipfest on May 25, 2024 at the Point Beach State Forest Nature Center from Noon to 3 pm.  Join  local breweries ( Cool City, Petskull, Craft Creek, Sabbatical) and wineries( Cold Country, Silarian, Duck Creek and Parallel 44) for a fun afternoon of wine and beer tasting,  viewing the Nature Center exhibits including our new Shipwrecks of Rawley Point exhibit, hiking the trials and enjoying the beautiful beaches at Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers. There will also be a special appearance by the London Dairy Alpacas!  They ( the  owners not the Alpacas) will be serving their special South American wines as a treat for ticketholders. This will be an  opportunity to  check out our new Action Track Chair, a specialized mobility chair with treads that can traverse park  trials or go on the beach. It is available to reserve for  free by calling the Park Office.Enjoy a free sample of our special beer collaboration with Cool City Brewery – Shipwrecks of Rawley Point IPA. This special edition brew will include a commemorative  map of all the shipwrecks around Rawley Point including the Rouse Simmons , Vernon, Continental and Major Anderson! It will be available for purchase by the can, in two packs and four packs.The cost of the event is $25 for 10 tastings plus a souvenir tasting glass. A $35  purchase will include  the tastings and glass plus a two pack of our Shipwrecks of Rawley Point IPA and an optional one year   family membership in the Friends of Point Beach. Designated driver tickets are  $10 with water and soda available for  purchase.   Price includes one free sample of our Shipwrecks of  Rawley  Point IPA .
