Paonia Players Fall 2024 After-school Youth Program

All camps take place outdoors at North Fork School of Integrated Studies in Paonia. Sign up and pay in full by August 25 and receive a Paonia Players t- shirt!

Financial Assistance: Limited scholarships are available by application. We strive to include every student who wants to participate and so encourage anyone who needs assistance to apply. Contact Merrily to inquire about scholarships at (970)361-1540 or email paoniaplayers@gmail.com.

By purchasing, you agree to the following:

1. Cancellation policy:All registrations are final. Refunds will not be given except in cases of emergency.

2. Photo Release:I am the parent or legal guardian of the students I am sending to Paonia Players camps, workshops or classes, and I grant Paonia Players my permission to use the photographs or video taken of my child at fall camp for any legal use, including but not limited to: publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, and web content.

3. Liability Release:

My child volunteers willingly to participate in the 2024 Paonia Players summer camp.
My child will only participate in activities that safely meet skill and ability levels.
I understand that a staff member will attempt to contact the parent, guardian, or emergency contact listed on the registration form in case of illness or injury. I authorize these representatives to contact paramedics and/or take me/my child to a hospital and be given treatment by paramedics and hospital staff as necessary.
I understand that I will bear all financial responsibility for any medical treatment arising from participation in Paonia Players Summer Camps.
I understand Paonia Players reserves the right to require that my child withdraw at any time when in their sole judgment, it is not physically safe to continue participating.
My child is in good health and I have informed the Camp Director or any physical or mental health issues that may be of concern during the camp.
My child will abide by the Safety Rules and agreements determined by campers and Paonia Players staff.

Acting Class for Kids: Grades 1-3

Thursdays 4-5:30. Oct. 3, 10, 24, Nov. 7, 14, 21, Dec. 5, 12. Through games, improv activities and scripted plays, students will learn how to take on a character, develop body and vocal expression, and work together as a cast to tell stories. Final performance on Thursday, December 12.

Acting Class for Kids: Grades 4-8

Youth Vocal Ensemble

Tuesdays 4-5:30 pm. Oct. 1, 8, 22, 29, Nov. 5, 12, 19, Dec. 3, 10 Students will learn to sing together as a group as well as develop their ability and confidence to sing alone if they so choose. Introduction to solfege and singing in harmony. The program will culminate with 2 evenings of Christmas/winter caroling in the community mid-late December (optional, though we hope all students can attend at least one of these events).

Paonia Players Leadership Program

$25

For teens in grades 8-12. Work with Merrily and other teachers to create a positive experience for PPACK and PPYVE students. Participate in the class and provide leadership, setting a good example for the other students while learning and practicing the same skills. Acceptance into the program is by application. Space is limited. Includes Paonia Players t-shirt!
