Here is more information ...Please join us for a fun open karate tournament for ages 2 and up with divisions for both adult and kids with special needs as well. Events will be Kata, Weapons Forms, Sparring, Self -Defense and Flag sparring for Toddlers, Beginners under 7 and competitors with special needs. 

Divisions are Beginner/ Intermediate/ Advanced/ Black Belt/Toddler/ Special Needs

Sparring will be continuous light to moderate contact to torso, legs and light touch to helmet for two minutes. Judges will determine winner based on dominance of match, effectiveness of techniques and stamina. Up to one extension round of 1 minute for tie breaker. 

Self-Defense: Competitors draw a slip with attack printed and have 1 minute to demonstrate the most number of unique defenses without repeat. Winner is determined by number of unique defenses. 

Flag Sparring- each competitor has 4 flags two in the front two in the back. One minute to remove the most flags from opponents belt. No grabbing, No strikes, blocks and footwork are allowed.
