Healing Arts – A Creative Wellness Workshop
No art skills needed—just bring a pen, paper, and whatever you have on hand.
Healing Arts is a free virtual workshop for anyone affected by gastrointestinal conditions, ostomies, rare diseases, or chronic illness. Caregivers, extended family, and loved ones are welcome to join. Whether you're managing your own health or supporting someone else, this space offers room to create, reflect, and connect.
Guided by our thoughtful Healing Arts facilitators, each session invites you to explore simple forms of expression—like writing, drawing, or color—to support healing and ease stress.
🧠 Why it matters:
– Art therapy can reduce anxiety and depression
– Creativity supports confidence, resilience, and emotional clarity
– Caregivers report less burnout and stronger coping through group art experiences
– Over 5 million people live with IBD, and 1 in 10 children are affected by rare diseases—many with limited emotional support
Offered by Connecting Pieces and Avery’s Hope, this workshop is a gentle space to reconnect with yourself and others through creativity.
🖍️ All you need is paper, something to write or draw with, and a quiet moment to show up—just as you are.
