Session 1: Capturing Nature's Beauty - November 2nd from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

In the first session, your budding artists will delve into the captivating world of cyanotype printing. They will learn the fascinating history and process of cyanotype, a photographic technique known for its striking blue and white images. Sarah will guide them through the process, making it accessible and fun for all ages.

Your child will have the freedom to choose from a variety of materials to create their cyanotype masterpiece. They can use real flowers, leaves, plants, or even use their own hands to make unique impressions on the photosensitive fibers. This session is not just about creating art but also fostering a deep connection with nature as they explore the endless possibilities of capturing its beauty.

Session 2: Crafting and Displaying - November 9th from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM (be sure to bring a packed lunch)

On the second day of the art class, the focus shifts to crafting and presentation. Your child will transform their cyanotype prints into beautiful wall hangings. With expert guidance, they'll learn the art of stitching and assembling their prints, turning them into stunning decorative pieces that can adorn any room.

By the end of the class, your child will proudly take home their very own cyanotype wall hanging, created entirely by their hands. These unique creations are not only a testament to their creativity but also serve as meaningful and personalized gifts that can be cherished for years to come.

This is a two-session Art Class. When you get a ticket, it is for both days, and your child will need to attend both classes to complete the project.

This class has a limited number of spots available - each at different price points. We offer a pay-what-you-can payment structure, so you can identify what amount fits your budget.
