2024 Food & Beverage Vendor Application

The Charleston Sternwheel Regatta is a free outdoor event featuring national headline concerts, carnival rides, and activities at Haddad Riverfront Park, Magic Island and Slack Plaza. This concert event celebrates community with live music, great food, and amazing spirit.  Vendor fees are as follows:<ul><li style="font-weight:bold;box-sizing:inherit">$800 per 10'x10' space </li><li style="font-weight:bold;box-sizing:inherit">Additional space is $50 per foot after initial 10'x10' space</li></ul>If you are selected to participate you will be issued an invoice for the space. Do not send in payment until you are approved and invoiced.  Vendors will be selected to ensure a variety of food, beverage, and product selections for our attendees. Charleston Regatta, Inc. has the right to deny any application without cause.  Once you are notified of approval, you will have 30 days to submit paperwork and payment. YOU WILL ONLY BE ALOTTED THE AMOUNT OF SPACE THAT YOU REPORT; MEASURE CAREFULLY & REMEMBER THE HITCH. IF YOU ARRIVE AND DO NOT FIT IN YOUR ALLOTTED SPACE YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SET UP AND YOUR FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. **All Regatta vendors acknowledge and agree they will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or national origin. In addition, all applicants shall certify that they are in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA)** Beverage Policy: Food vendors may sell non-alcoholic beverages from their booth. All beverages except those that you make, such as coffee, tea, and lemonade must be purchased from Charleston Regatta, Inc. These prices will be standardized for all vendors with profit margins built in for all participants.   Insurance Requirements: All participating food and retail vendors must have $1,000,000 of liability insurance for the entire duration of the event. Charleston Regatta, Inc. must be listed as an additional insured on your policy. In addition, all food and retail vendors must provide us with any policy changes if necessary.  Health Permits: All participating food vendors must provide a copy of their Kanawha-Charleston Health Department food permit certificate. Food vendors must follow all Kanawha-Charleston Health Department guidelines to ensure food safety. Grease/Gray Water: No grease or gray water is to be poured onto the ground or down any drains.  Businesses found doing this will be prohibited from participating in future Charleston Regatta events. Pumping services will be provided each morning, and you must be present for pumping to occur. Trash: Vendors are responsible for properly bagging trash within their sales location. The City of Charleston clean-up crew will collect properly bagged trash from your space. Food safety and cleanliness must be a priority for your customers. City Collector's Office: All vendors must be registered and in compliance with the City Collector's Office. No contract/business will be awarded to a company with a delinquent tax status with the City Collector's Office.
