GET AN AMERICAN FLAG PLACED IN YOUR YARD ON 5 PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS! SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR YOUR COMMUNITY!! WHAT IS THE AMERICAN FLAG PROJECT? Residents of “The Beaches” (Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, & Ponte Vedra Beach) as well as the city of Jacksonville (by approval of the Flag Chair) can get a 3-by-5 foot American flag (made in America) installed in their yard for the 5 patriotic holidays of the year. WHY SHOULD I SUPPORT IT? When you support this project, you have a positive impact on your community. Funds raised by this project go towards charitable efforts of Oceanside Rotary Charities, Inc. Oceanside's club members stay busy helping our community and beyond by participating in or funding (or both) several local projects and charities including: Skate park in Atlantic Beach Special needs playground at Neptune Beach Elementary School Rotary Park in Jacksonville Beach Bike racks throughout the Beaches community Labor and or financial support of BEAM, Beaches Community Kitchen, Beaches Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, USO Sponsor Interact Clubs at Fletcher High School, and Fletcher and Mayport Middle Schools - inspiring community service and leadership in our youth Fund scholarships to Fletcher High School Interact seniors Provide dictionaries to local 3rd graders Recognize and reward local teachers for making a difference in the lives of their students We also strive to make a difference globally by supporting Rotary International through their foundation to eradicate polio, provide exchange student programs, and much more... HOW DOES IT WORK? A 3/4” X 18" PVC pipe, which will hold the 10' flagpole, will be placed in your front lawn or flower bed, flush with the ground. We deliver the flag before each holiday & pick it up again after the holiday. We do all the work! WHEN ARE FLAGS FLOWN? President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day through Sept. 11th, & Veteran's Day. WHAT IS THE COST? The cost is $50 per year. CAN I ORDER A FLAG FOR MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY? Sure can! What a thoughtful gift! We ask that you perform separate transactions for each location so we can easily track and manage the flag delivery process. CAN I PLACE MY ORDER AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR? Yes! Subscriptions will run for 12 months no matter when you sign up. Shortly before expiration you will receive an email from NeedsConnector inviting you to renew. HOW TO PLACE MY ORDER?
