Benefit Concert with Kipyn Martin Headlining!

CAV and EPEC present to you a Paint the Panhandle Purple Benefit Concert -   Featuring Kipyn Martin at The New Earth Granary

Our fantastic night of music opens with facilitators from Community Alternatives to Violence singing covers and original music.

Kipyn Martin is an emerging Indie Folk singer-songwriter whose roots sink deep into the banks of the Shenandoah River.  A native of West  Viriginia, she has played festivals, concert halls, coffeehouses, and house concerts from New England to Texas.  Kipyn has earned multiple Gold Awards in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, and has been honored by the Washington Area Music Association with multiple WAMMIA nominations (Songwriter of the Year and Folk Contemporary Vocalist) and in 2015 she won the WAMMIE for New Artist of the Year.  In addition to songwriting, Kipyn holds a Master of Music in Composition and teaches private lessons in voice, guitar, piano, and songwriting.

Currently, you can find Kipyn performing in the DC/Baltimore area.  She is a dedicated tribute artist as well as a performing songwriter.  2024 will see her paying tribute to Joni Mitchell as part of Joan & Joni with her music partner Allsion Shapira, as well as paying homage to Simon & Garfunkel as part of Newmyer Flyer's Bleecker Street.

All proceeds will be split between Community Alternatives to Violence, Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center, and our hosts, The New Earth Granary.  Join us for this Paint the Panhandle Purple music event.
