Scenic City of the Year 2023 Application

Deadline for the application and payment is Friday, September 1, 2023.

Scenic Texas is excited to announce it's second annual Scenic City of the Year competition. We are thrilled to see how eager everyone is to participate!

We want to know why your city is, "More Than A City." What does it take to win? Tell us what makes your city special. It can be something as simple as a beautiful public space, a lovely landscape, or something that provides economic benefits to your entire community. What accomplishments have you been able to achieve this year? What have you done to make your city a better place to live and play? Describe the impact of green infrastructure on the local ecosystem in your city.

Entering the competition is a great opportunity to raise the profile of your city throughout the state. This year's winner will be announced and given a speaking slot at the Texas Municipal League Conference at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas Texas on October 5, 2023.

To promote this year's winner, Scenic Texas will be generating press releases, videos, social media posts, as well as managing press inquiries and interviews. The winning city will also be awarded a Scenic Texas recognition banner and a Scenic City of the Year sign topper to be added to your city limit sign, so locals and travelers alike will see that you've been designated as the honored city.

Entries will be judged by a select group of committed peer industry leaders, along with Scenic Texas committee members. Voting for the People's Choice Award will be online and open to the public.

Your city deserves to be recognized for all that you do for your community and the citizens of our great state.

The application fee is $500. Details on where to send your check are included in the link below. Friday, September 1, 2023, is the deadline for submitting both the application fee and form.
