Hosted this year by Missy Meyakie LePaige and Misty Eyez and held in memory of Bishop S.F. Makalani-MaHee, South Florida community advocates, organizations, and healthcare providers are nominated by the community so that we can recognize them for their dedicated work to advance Transgender Equality. The votes are in, and we can't wait to announce the winners who have all helped to empower the trans community in so many different ways!  We'll have food, drinks, and an amazing night of celebration as we recognize our siblings, allies, and organizations working to drive transgender equality forward! This evening is made possible with support from AIDS Healthcare Foundation, CAN Community Health, The Manor, The Pride Center, Midland Medical Center, SunServe, and Hotspots Magazine. Thank you to all of our community partners for supporting the planning and promotion of Trans Awareness Month events, including Black LGBTQ+ Liberation, Inc. (BLINC), Stonewall National Museum, Archives, & Library, Aqua Foundation for Women, Reflect Collective, HRC South Florida, Keshet, The Dolphin Democrats, Safe Schools South Florida, and Equality Florida!
