Individual, State, and Local Auxiliary Membership–Individuals and state and local auxiliaries nationwide are eligible to become members of the ALA. Annual membership is open to any combination of lawyers/judges spouses, the widow/widower of a lawyer/judge, lawyer/judge, or any individual who supports the mission of the organization upon payment of annual dues. 

Life Membership –  Open to any individual member upon payment of dues.   A life member shall be exempt from payment of further dues.

Sustaining Life Membership – Open to any Life Member who may choose to continue to make an annual tax-deductible donation that is no less than the annual dues. ($25.)  Sustaining Life members will be recognized for each year in which such annual contribution is made.

*Honorary Membership –  Those individuals who have exemplified extraordinary dedication and commitment to law-related education, and who have been selected and approved by the Executive Committee.
