Join the Jackie's Warriors Foundation to Fight Dementia for our first fund raising event, a Backyard Bar Crawl around Homewood!   Participants will "crawl" (or drive) between 7 homes in the Old Homewood neighborhood enjoying a free beverage at each stop, picking up a free raffle ticket and drawing a card to try and make the best poker hand!  Most of the homes feature a home bar!  The total walking distance is about 1 3/4 miles with the longest leg being 1/2 mile. At the conclusion of the "crawl" we will all meet up at the St. Joes Catholic Church gymnasium for an after party!  A delicious home made Italian dinner will be provided.  Additional beverages will be available.   Each host family will be donating a raffle basket which will be available to inspect at each stop and then at the after-party.  Raffle tickets received on the crawl can be entered to win the baskets and additional tickets will be available for sale.  The participant with the best poker hand will be awarded a cash prize! After dinner stick around for Charioke (Charity Karaoke)!  It's like regular Karaoke, but instead of picking your own songs you "nominate" your friend to sing any song you want and bid how much you'd donate to get them to do it.  Then the host will ask your friend if they'd like to sing or bid a higher amount.  You go back an forth auction style till one of you gives up.  If you win you pay and your friend sings, if your friend wins he/she pays and doesn't have to sing.  It's great fun and all the money goes to the Foundation!   The "crawl" will begin with a "shotgun start" at 1pm and will be done by 6pm.  You will be assigned to one of the locations to start at and will be given a map to show your route for the day.  You will end within a short walk of where you started so you can get back to your car easily.  Or feel free to drive between stops if you prefer.  The after party will start at 6pm. If you'd like to start later in the day and skip a few stops that's fine too.  Your map will tell you what times your group will be at each stop. Or feel free to just join us at the after party if you'd prefer.  Just please indicate that on your registration form.  (if you change your mind later just let us know!)

You will receive an email prior to the event with your group assignment, starting location address, map of your crawl route, and further information about the event.  If you requested to be paired with other participants in your group, we will do our best to make that happen, but we want to keep the groups similar in size so we may not be able to honor all requests.  If you indicated that you will attend the crawl but change your mind, please let us know so we can take you out of the group assignments.
