The role of the finance committee is primarily to provide short and long-term financial oversight. Typical task areas include expense and income tracking, budgeting and financial planning, financial (IRS) reporting, and creating and monitoring internal controls and accountability practices. The presence of a fully engaged finance committee is a strong indication that an organization is committed to good stewardship and is actively building and preserving the financial resources necessary to support the accomplishment of its mission, both for the short term and the long term. There are numerous grants available for non-profit organizations like Rivertown Pickleball and we are looking for people who have experience in writing grant documents to secure additional funds to improve/maintain our organization.
