For the last 24 years, the Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI), has provided educational and emergency services for Spanish-speaking and low-income families in Snohomish County. With rapid growth in the last few years, we are adjusting to our "new" normal following the COVID-19 pandemic, with over 34,000 encounters in 2022. As an organization, we have reached a turning point.

With the economic instability, our community's need for essential services has grown exponentially. There has been an increased susceptibility to food and health insecurity, homelessness, income loss, and lack of childcare, which caused additional depression and stress. 

To overcome the digital divide as the Pandemic increased, we redesigned and adapted our service delivery and program methods with the help of many volunteers, partners, and a staff of five, which has since grown to twelve. 

Although there are signs of recovery, our underserved communities still have pressing needs that must be met. Considering the imminent displacement in Snohomish County, we need to respond collaboratively, with the kind of compassion that creates social equity. If we are to stabilize and continue providing a high-quality level of services and programs, we need to take the next big step in 2023. This is the moment that we require support from our friends and community partners!
