General Support for Domestic Violence Programming

Join us for the 2nd Purple Ribbon Tea fundraiser for The Freedom Heart Foundation's I AM STRONG ENOUGH programming on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club.  Attendees and supporters enable women and children residing in Safe Space South and Inn Transition South to participate in empowerment and enrichment opportunities to help them thrive after surviving domestic violence.  Funds are used to provide meals, books, supplies, self-esteem sessions, character development workshops, career training, digital literacy, physical fitness, nutrition and therapy sessions.  The event will feature a guest speaker and recognize community advocates as Strong Enough Award winners who are helping to uplift others in the domestic violence empowerment space.Attendees can also partake in a silent auction featuring local experiences, gifts and memorabilia. Proceeds from this signature fundraiser will fund survivors empowerment programming for our local domestic violence shelters, who need our support now more than ever as domestic violence incidences continue to rise.  It is our goal to help those affected by domestic violence to reclaim their lives and carve out a new path of success in order to become thrivers of life for themselves and their children.
