iCAN, the International Children's Advisory Network, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose members are youth with medically rare or complex diagnoses from around the world. For a decade, iCAN has consistently championed for the representation of children and families in the realms of pediatric medicine, research, and innovation. iCAN is the platform for empowering young individuals to contribute their insights and experiences, directly influencing the landscape of pediatric medical research and innovation. Through various initiatives and events, iCAN strives to enhance the involvement of children and families in healthcare decision-making processes with clinicians, researchers, the FDA, and industry to foster patient-centric advancements in pediatric healthcare.
On behalf of iCAN, we ask you to sponsor a child to go to our Annual Summit. Your sponsorship will enable us to children from around the world who do not have the financial means to attend our annual Research and Advocacy Summit. This year the iCAN Summit will be hosted by our Canada Francais chapter and is scheduled for July 14-18, 2025. The proceeds specifically cover global travel and accommodation expenses for these young participants. Throughout the interactive and educational week-long event, children will engage with industry, work in a university medical lab and on projects, share research findings from the past year, and perform a service project with the local children’s hospital.
