JOIN SANTA ON A MAGICAL 

STEAM TRAIN ADVENTURE!

Hop on board on the North Pole Limited and ride behind historic steam locomotive Baldwin No. 26 on an hour-long holiday trip through the Scranton Yards and Nay Aug Park to meet Santa Claus!  The North Pole Limited departs four times a day from Steamtown National Historic Site, in Scranton, Pennsylvania for a round trip to the North Pole. 

En route, enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season aboard our festive passenger cars adorned with holiday decorations while listening to popular Christmas songs. Santa will visit each family to collect each child’s Christmas wish list. Children and adults alike are encouraged to indulge in the spirit of the season by wearing pajamas and settling in for a relaxing ride with family and friends. 

This joyous event will surely become a cherished holiday tradition for your entire family. 

Infants 0-2 years old ride free, provided they will be held in the lap of an accompanying adult or child ticket holder.

If tickets for this trip of the North Pole Limited are sold out, additional trains will be running at 10:30 am, 11:45 am, 1:15 pm, and 2:30 pm on Saturday 12/10, Sunday 12/11, Saturday 12/17, and Sunday 12/18.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support The Iron Horse Society, a 501c3 non-profit in its mission to promote the knowledge, education, and preservation of railroad heritage at Steamtown National Historic Site for generations to come.

• Our passenger equipment features bus-style seating and windows that can be opened and shut. Each seat can hold 2 people comfortably and can be flipped to face each other for small groups.
• Seating is not assigned, but available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Children 2 years of age and younger ride free and don't require a separate ticket, provided they will be held in the lap of an accompanying adult or child ticket holder.
• There is limited wheelchair-accessible seating, please call the Iron Horse Society at 570-203-2662 to ensure seating on the trip desired.

• Trains will depart at the listed scheduled time.  Ticketed passengers board the train about 15 minutes prior, and tickets are collected on board.
• Our nearly 100-year-old steam locomotive #26 has been assigned as motive power on this train and rarely develops mechanical problems; however, if the steam locomotive isn’t available to provide motive power for the train, the trip will be canceled and refunds will be issued.
• The trains will run unless NPS closes the site due to the severe adverse weather conditions
• If a train must be canceled, notices will be posted and emailed as early as possible, with at least two hours notice before a train’s scheduled departure. All impacted guests will be refunded within 5 business days. Refund confirmation will be sent via email.
• All sales are final. There are NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES on tickets unless the ticketed train or tour does not operate.
• By attending this event, you agree to be photographed and/or filmed and give permission to use your likeness in promotional and/or marketing materials.
