ABOUT THE ELK RIVER ROTARY CLUB:
Our club is a proud part of this community and of Rotary International. Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million members who believe that great things happen when dedicated minds come together. We are a community and business leaders representing different professions, experiences, and perspectives but with a shared desire to connect with others to address the challenges affecting our community and communities around the world.
The club has donated tens of thousands of dollars to encourage the growth and improvement of many local organizations. The members have also volunteered many more hours to improve our environment with our annual Elk River cleanup.
If you are interested in learning more about the Elk River Rotary Club and Rotary International please visit a meeting! We meet Thursdays from 12:05 until 1:05 PM at Rockwoods in Otsego. If you would like to become a member, please contact Julie at 763-441-6092
ABOUT CAER:
Founded in 1979, CAER was established by 13 area churches to provide emergency food assistance to families in need throughout Elk River, Otsego, Zimmerman, and surrounding communities. CAER is still supported by local churches as well as schools, civic and business organizations and individuals. They have all joined hands in a community effort to ensure that hunger is not a barrier to the well-being of people in our community. CAER, or Community Aid of Elk River, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit guided by an executive director, staff and volunteers with oversight by a Board of Directors. CAER's Board of Directors is made up of volunteers who represent the communities CAER serves. CAER's Board strives to utilize CAER's resources in a fiscally responsible way.
