The 8th Annual Exit 36 Slam Poetry Festival returns December 10&ndash;12, 2026, as a powerful celebration of spoken word, global artistry, and community connection in the City of Pompano Beach. Now firmly established as a premier destination poetry festival, Exit 36 host 40 elite spoken word artists from across the nation and internationally.&nbsp; Blending high-level slam poetry with arts education, workshops, artist talks, food trucks, side events, and cultural exchange. In our 9th year we will welcome our first exchange artists from Togo, Africa creating a rare and meaningful intersection of culture, competition, and collaboration. The festival serves as both an artistic showcase and a platform for dialogue, literacy, and creative empowerment. Exit 36 continues to amplify diverse voices, invest in youth engagement, and foster international cultural bridges while strengthening Pompano Beach&rsquo;s reputation as a nationally recognized hub for poetry and cultural tourism.
