High schoolers at Saint Constantine worked together on this icon on glass in the liturgical folk art tradition developed in Romania. Also called "Reverse Glass Iconography," this method of writing an icon requires that the paints be applied in reverse order on the back of the glass. The students used egg yolk and pigments derived from minerals and dyes to apply each design element. They labored over the course of several weeks of Liturgical Arts class, under the tutelage of Mrs. Sider-Rose.
