A Staged Reading of THE PITEOUS LIFE AND TRAGICAL DEATH OF STEVE THE INTERN, a new play by Daniel Takács

Come join us for the inaugural reading of a bold and hilarious new work in heightened language!

Steve the Intern is envious of the power and prestige of Duncan, president of Duncan’s Buckets, and vows to take his throne. As Steve manipulates his way to the top, he falls in love, sets off a union strike, and, finally, murders Duncan. In the end, Steve is forced to choose between ultimate power, and the only person who truly loves him.

The Piteous Life and Tragical Death of Steve the Intern won the Frank Moffett Mosier Fellowship for Works in Heightened Focus Language for 2024, and now it is time for its inaugural reading at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, directed by Allison Olivia Choat.
