As our first foray into this exciting venture, we're starting small. Each selected storyteller will perform their 60 - 75 minute show only once, in the 110 seat theater at the Writer's Center. Performers will receive 60% of ticket sales for their show. Selected performers will be expected to pay a $30 marketing fee, and will be expected to help promote the festival and their own show. In addition to our own promotion, we will provide postcards and press packets, as well as marketing tools. Better Said Than Done supports storytellers at every stage, especially new and underrepresented voices 🎙️. Tell us who you are, what you’d like to perform, and how your story fits this festival. Your answers help us curate a lineup that reflects our community and keeps live storytelling thriving in the DMV.
