The Greater Salem Area Chamber of Commerce invites residents and businesses to participate in our A Very Merry Salem Christmas Decoration Display Contest!

Help us transform Salem into a magical Christmas destination filled with beautiful lights, creative decorations, and hometown holiday cheer!

Whether your display is simple and elegant or worthy of Clark Griswold himself, we want YOU to be part of the celebration!

🏆 Five Winning Categories!

🎄 Best Business Display – Celebrating a local business that goes above and beyond with its Christmas decorations!

🍿 Favorite Christmas Movie Theme – Bring the magic of your favorite Christmas movie to life!

❄️ Best Light Display – Awarded to an unforgettable display of Christmas lights!

⭐ Chamber's Choice – A special award selected by the Greater Salem Area Chamber of Commerce!

🗳️ How Voting Works

Photos of registered displays will be shared on the Greater Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, where the community can vote using designated emoji reactions.

Chamber's Choice will be selected separately by the Chamber.

📍 Get on Our Christmas Lights Tour Map!

Every registered location will be pinned on our interactive Google Christmas Lights Tour Map!

Families and visitors will be able to follow the map throughout Salem, admire participating displays, and enjoy their own Christmas lights tour!

Our goal is to encourage visitors to explore our community, shop at local businesses, enjoy our restaurants, and experience the magic of Christmas in Salem.

🎅 Who Can Participate?

Both residential and business displays are welcome!

Registration is required to be included in the contest and Christmas Lights Tour Map.

By registering, participants agree to have their submitted display photos and approved display location shared publicly for contest voting and the Christmas Lights Tour.

✨ Let's come together and make Salem shine brighter than ever this Christmas!

Hosted by the Greater Salem Area Chamber of Commerce as part of A Very Merry Salem – A Hometown Christmas Celebration, December 19, 2026.
