The Washington Art Education Association’s Fall Conference is one of the largest visual arts, media arts, and design professional development opportunities in the state of Washington that is exclusively developed for art educators and artists. Attendees participate in exemplary professional learning workshops and sessions with pK-12 art educators, museum educators, researchers, scholars/university professors, pre-service art educators, retired art educators, teaching artists, and administrator/supervisors.

Our Keynote address this year is 

• Mike Mitchell - an Art Education Professor/Coordinator at Tennessee State University, an HBCU in Nashville, Tennessee who is eager to share his maker mindset through workshops and a keynote presentation.  His teaching mission is to impart to students the tools and permission to begin to navigate their immediate art community.

Workshop Proposals are accepted until Oct. 1st.

Once your Workshop is accepted, we will email you a Presenter Coupon code along with a form for some additional information we will need. Code can only be used once. Presenters also receive a special presenter gift at the conference.

We will email you the presenter code when your session is approved mid-September.
