Between 40% and 70% of people who have lupus experience increased photosensitivity which can cause rashes and flares. Social Butterflies Foundation cares about our thrivers, so we will be hosting the 2024 Butterfly Walk for Lupus & Fibro on August 3, 2024, at Boo Williams Sportsplex from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm (doors open at noon). Boo Williams Sportsplex has an indoor track, so walkers will be inside an air-conditioned facility.   The Social Butterflies Foundation's annual Butterfly Walk for Lupus & Fibromyalgia® provides lupus and fibromyalgia survivors and their families the opportunity to come together for one unified purpose —to make these invisible illnesses visible.  Funds raised from the Butterfly Walk for Lupus & Fibro are used to provide support groups, educational resources, emergency financial assistance, scholarships, summits, health fairs, advocacy, and support research. Walk day is filled with excitement, hope, unity, and encouragement. Families enjoy resource information, music, a kid's corner, vendors, fellowshipping, and so much more.
