iCAN, the International Children's Advisory Network, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose members are youth with medically rare or complex diagnoses from around the world. For a decade, iCAN has consistently advocated for the representation of children and families in the realms of pediatric medicine, research, and innovation. iCAN is the platform for empowering young individuals to contribute their insights and experiences, directly influencing the landscape of pediatric medical research and innovation. Through various initiatives and events, iCAN strives to enhance the involvement of children and families in healthcare decision-making processes with clinicians, researchers, the FDA, and industry to foster patient-centric advancements in pediatric healthcare. KIDS NYC is a chapter that runs under iCAN.
