2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, and ATA Houston, a non-profit organization established in 1979 to promote cultural ties between Türkiye and the United States, will be hosting the 27th Annual Houston Turkish Festival after a four-year hiatus.
Pre-purchased tickets are priced at $10, on-the-day and/or at the gate purchases will be $12.
The festival will be at its new venue for this special celebration, The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park. The festival will have onstage entertainment featuring performances from local and international artists such as Yeni Turku, a globally renowned Turkish band, and Tuana, a dance troupe that has performed in 45 countries. In addition, the festival will host a wide variety of arts and crafts, a market with local vendors, Turkish food, beer and wine, Turkish coffee, and a dedicated children’s area.
The World Pavilion will showcase booths from other cultural organizations in the Houston area.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to earthquake relief efforts in Turkey. More information on ticket sales, agenda, and specific participants is forthcoming.
