Individuals and families in our churches and communities encounter relationship challenges, sin struggles, and painful circumstances every day. Many are desperately looking for help in how to respond to and endure these situations well. Secular counseling and therapy can be helpful, but as Christians, we know that nothing cuts to the root of our struggles like God's Word. We need more people, right here in our community, who are equipped to bring the light of the Gospel to bear on these situations. Do you want to grow in confidence in your ability to lovingly and skillfully apply God's Word for comfort, encouragement, and personal growth in the lives of others? Would you like to be better equipped to minister to the emotional, relational, and spiritual needs of the people around you? If so, please consider joining us for a three weekend biblical counseling and discipleship training event this Fall that will explore the fundamental principles and practices of biblical counseling. This training consists of 30 hours over three weekends (9/16-17, 10/7-8, and 10/28-29) and meets the Fundamentals Training Course portion of Phase 1 for those pursuing certification through the ACBC. Your registration fee includes all three weekends, as well as snacks, drinks, lunch on the Saturday sessions, and all course related materials and resources. *This event is offered through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors in conjunction with Wheelersburg Baptist Church Wheelersburg Baptist Church is a certified training center with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).  Their goal is to equip local church leaders and members with the foundations to be able to help or counsel someone in need.  The Fundamentals Track One course lays the groundwork for ministering with God's Word in people’s lives.  This course also meets some of the training requirements for certification with ACBC.
