Lynhaven Event Center | Hammond, LA | 6 PM This year's event is primed to be the best one yet, featuring a full banquet, a silent auction, and a special presentation by former US Ambassador John Cotton Richmond.  Hope's Cry, a non-profit based in Hammond, LA, has worked in Africa for the past decade. In 2022, they opened the Hope Center, the only local aftercare center for survivors of human trafficking in the Karamoja region of Uganda. Over 70% of all trafficking in East Africa comes from Karamoja, yet there hasn't been any localized solution to help rehouse and resettle survivors from this area.  This year's Freedom Gala will celebrate the impact of the Hope Center in 2024 and raise support for the 2025 operating budget and expansion plans. Together, we can end trafficking in Karamoja.
