Join us for a powerful conversation with 40-year music industry veteran, Sharon Corbitt as we discuss navigating the ever-changing waters of the music industry all while staying true to who you are. From recording artist/songwriter to studio manager to major artist manager and everything in between, Sharon will discuss how she has paved her own path while keeping her integrity and staying grounded. In a world full of noise and social-media driven expectations, it's easy to lose sight of what our true passions and dreams really are. We hope you will come away from this conversation with tools to keep yourself on a healthy/steady track and new inspiration for how to stand out from the pack. About our guest speaker... Sharon Corbitt is a 40 year Music Row veteran. She moved to Nashville to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter but found herself drawn to the business side of the industry. She had focused much of her early career on managing record studios, including Ocean Way Nashville, The Sound Kitchen and Historic RCA Studio A. In 2009, when Sharon came on board, Historic RCA Studio A opened to outside commercial clients and some of the artists who have since recorded at Historic RCA Studio A are Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, Kacey Musgraves, Trans Siberian Orchestra, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Bob Seger, Sara Bareilles, Ken Burns and Chris Stapleton. In 2012, at the urging of Ben Folds, Sharon formed All Good Factory, with her then business partner to co-manage Ben Folds artist career and hisdiverse interest that involved photography, music education and music therapy.  In 2021, Sharon partnered with J&R Adventures/Journeyman Records as head of Artist Relations for Joe Bonamassa’s management company, touring company and record label. Sharon handles all studio production, as well as day to day management for Joanne Shaw Taylor and Robert Jon & the Wreck.  Sharon is very involved currently and in the past with Americans for the Arts, The Recording Academy, Audio Engineering Society (Board Member-Nashville Chapter-past), Historic Nashville (Board Member-past), Nashville Engineer Relief Fund (Board-current), and Musically Fed (current Board member). To date, Sharon has facilitated studio recordings that have sold in excess of 140 Million plus worldwide.Sharon, along with Aubrey Preston, Mike Curb, Chuck Elkin, Ben Folds and Mike Kopp, where named 2014 Nashvillians of the Year by the Nashville Scene for their efforts to Save Historic RCA Studio A from Demolition.  Sharon founded Frontline Songs in 2020 with Dr. Ron Hirshberg (Mass General/Harvard) and Darden Smith (signer/songwriter/co-founder of Songwriting With: Soldiers) to use the power of collaborative songwriting to help those on the frontlines of Covid process their experiences and PTSD thru the power of music. Frontline Songs has worked with doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai, Mass General, Brigham, Dell/Seton-Austin, UtMB, to name a few. Sharon brings to our industry years of experience working with the Music Industry, Music Therapy, Music Education, Music History, Songwriters, Studio Management, Studio Preservation, Artist Management, Music Publishing and a vast knowledge of Sound Quality and those who champion it everyday. Finding ways to connect Music and Healing is Sharon's passion.
