Halloween EEKstravaganza 2024 "Trunker" Trunk or Treat Form

It's that hauntingly wonderful time of year again! On October 26, 2024, the spirits will walk Soddy Municipal Park seeking treats and entertainment. But the greatest spirit of these will be the Spirit of Community!

Join us in celebrating Halloween with our 2nd annual Halloween EEKstravaganza! community-wide Trunk or Treat! The festival is from 3 pm to 8 pm with the Trunk or Treat taking place from 4 pm to 7 pm. It will be followed by a free movie in the park at 8:30 pm.

We are inviting organizations, churches, businesses, and families to set up a Trunk or Treat station to hand out treats, play games, and entertain the families of our community. There is no cost to participate. You are encouraged to decorate your vehicle/space. A contest will be held for those choosing to decorate, with prizes presented in 3 categories: Most Creative DIY, Most Inventive Design, and Community Favorite (voted on by participants).

NOTE: The Trunk or Treat is strictly about community and candy. Businesses that choose to host a trunk are welcome to display their company name but not allowed to hand out promotional material. Please sign up as a Vendor if you wish to promote your business.

You must submit this application for vetting purposes to be allowed to participate. The deadline for submission is Thursday, October 24 at 6 pm to be included.

Expected attendance for the Halloween EEKstravaganza! is 3,600. Plan to hand out approximately 2,500 pieces of candy. If you run out, the Soddy-Daisy Community Library will have a limited supply of extra candy onsite available for purchase at $20 per bag.

"Trunker" vehicles must be in place by 2:45 pm (no vehicles will be allowed to enter the park after 2:45 pm). Set up for the Trunk or Treat must be completed by 3:45 pm.

Spaces will be approximately 10 feet wide. Spaces are provided on a first-come basis. This is a rain or shine event.

I understand the KELCURT Foundation has a "no trace policy" and I agree to maintain the space provided in a clean and orderly manner and clean up around me during and after the event.

I understand that this is a rain or shine event. I also understand that KELCURT Foundation has access to a state of the art radar system and I will follow instructions in case of inclement weather.

I agree that I/we are attending this event of our own free will and understand the possible risk due to the current state of the COVID pandemic. I hereby agree to indemnify the KELCURT Foundation / Soddy-Daisy Community Library, and all their agents, employees, and representatives, as well as the City of Soddy-Daisy, all their agents, employees, and representatives, against any and all damage, liability, and loss (including loss of life) as well as legal fees and costs incurred, as a result of my and my organization's participation in this event.
