🎉 Excitement is in the air! Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at the Mending Hope Equine Rescue’s fundraising event. May is Mental Health Awareness Month! As many of you know we were selected along with 79 other organizations to be part of a National Campaign by Seen Through Horses, Horses for Mental Health! All though our mane goal is saving and helping horses we use the rescue horses to offer programs to our community such as Horses & Heroes which offers equine assisted activities to Veterans and Healing Hooves which we take horses to skilled nursing facilities. Both of these activities create positive interactions between humans and horses benefiting both.   How are these funds used? These funds help save horses at risk from the slaughter pipeline, provided care to the horses here at the rescue, training for those who need  it,  costly insurance for the rescue to run and expenses related to having a humane officer. Currently all the equine assisted activities are provided by volunteers. Our volunteers graciously are cover full expenses and cost related to these programs. We are working on grants to help cover these costs and expand our programs. Every ticket purchased for this 50/50 drawing will bring us closer to achieving our mission.
