The Windy City Rollers (WCR) are excited that you're interested in learning to play roller derby and joining our league!  Course Description &amp; Info This is a sign-up form for our 8 week Intro to Roller Derby Course. This program is designed to introduce people to beginner skating skills, roller derby basics (including basic rules, strategy, officiating, etc.), and our league. After completion of this course, participants will have the option of joining WCR as a full member by either joining as a skater or official.<ul><li>When: Sundays @ 9-11am, August 18 through October 13 (no session on 9/1 for Labor Day)</li><li>Where: Near Western &amp; Grand (specific address shared after registration), Chicago, IL 60612</li><li>Who: Open to people of all genders*, must be 18 years or older </li><li>Cost: $100 (Payment plans are available upon request).</li></ul> COVID Requirements: <ul><li>Mask optional.  If you are symptomatic, we kindly require you to stay home until symptoms resolve, and then mask for 10 days after. </li></ul>Loaner Gear<ul><li>Loaner pads, helmets, and skates are free and available for 25 skaters. </li></ul>  *After completion of this course trans women, intersex women, gender expansive individuals will be eligible to join WCR as skaters. All participants who identify outside of these groups are welcome to join our league in roles such as skating officials, non-skating officials, or other volunteer leadership capacities. A new starter set of safety gear and skates can be $250+, including skates, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and mouth guard.
