Join us on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the historic Stonehenge Memorial in Maryhill, Washington for a special CHamoru cultural slinging tribute. The &aring;cho&rsquo; atupat (slingstone) is an enduring symbol of CHamoru culture, representing strength, unity, tradition, and community throughout the Islas Marianas. Together, we will gather through culture and the practice of slinging to honor the victims, survivors, and communities impacted by the tragic events of September 11, 2001, while also taking time for reflection and remembrance of September 11, 1671, in Guam. This gathering is an opportunity to honor those who came before us, remember lives impacted by tragedy, and continue sharing an important part of our CHamoru cultural heritage. The first 30 people to register AND attend the event will receive a commemorative sling. Space for the commemorative slings is limited, so please register early and join us for this meaningful afternoon of culture, remembrance, and community.
