Acting Workshop: Exploring The Chubbuck Technique
  • June 7 & 8, 11 am to 5 pm both days. 
  • Cost $150

  • Instructor: Owen Robertson, founder of LAB Theater Project.
This workshop will introduce actors to the 12-step process that focuses on deeply understanding their character's motivations, desires, and obstacles, allowing them to create authentic and dynamic performances by drawing on their own personal experiences and emotions. Students will learn how to "win" the scene by actively pursuing their character's objective through specific tools like substitution, inner objects, beat analysis, and more; all based on the principles outlined by legendary acting coach Ivana Chubbuck and her book "The Power of the Actor."
