A Place 2B Me and Spreading Smiles are offering an Adapted First Aid &amp; Safety Training class for adults with developmental and cognitive disabilities. This class will use simple language, step-by-step instruction, visual supports, and guided practice to help participants learn important safety skills in a way that works best for them. Participants will learn how to recognize when someone needs help, call 911 and communicate clearly, perform basic First Aid skills, and understand what is and is not an emergency. Our goal is to help each participant feel more confident, capable, and prepared to respond in an emergency. Participants are invited to bring a bagged lunch to enjoy after class. They will leave with instructions, a certificate, and a first aid kit.&nbsp; ** Please note that this event is created for individuals with developmental disabilities and this is not an official CPR/FIRST AID class. This is meant for teaching individuals how to respond in emergencies. **
