Ages: Adults! (young adults also welcome - HS &amp; college age)July 13-17Unleash your inner artist this summer! Whether you&rsquo;re picking up a pencil for the first time or refining your technique, this camp is the perfect place to grow your drawing skills and creativity. Each day, you&rsquo;ll dive into the timeless art of drawing&mdash;learning how to see like an artist and bring your ideas to life on paper. We&rsquo;ll explore the secrets behind proportion, form, and three-dimensionality, and discover what gives a drawing its atmosphere and breadth. You&rsquo;ll study and recreate masterpieces from great artists of the past, gaining insight into their techniques and vision. From still life and landscapes to the challenge of capturing the human face, every student will find inspiration and guidance suited to their level. You&rsquo;ll receive daily one-on-one feedback to help you improve and express your unique artistic voice. We&rsquo;ll experiment with pencil, charcoal, and red chalk on toned paper, using white chalk to make highlights come alive. You&rsquo;ll also learn how to tone your own paper and master essential artist tools like mirrors, plumb lines, see-through rulers, and kneaded erasers. Bring your drawing pad and pencils&mdash;charcoal, red and white chalk, and toned paper will be provided.
