Advocates For Acceptance Annual All Abilities Baseball Game. Come join us for a night of fun while learning how to interact with those of All Abilities at Lincoln Way Special Recreation’s Baseball Field.  Mayors along with their first responders will be on the field coaching from New Lenox, Frankfort, Manhattan, Mokena and Homer Glen. Kids of all ages of typical abilities and special abilities will be on teams together playing side by side. While learning how to interact with each other.  Only players need a free ticket and must have a ticket to play, limited spots available. We kindly ask that only immediate family attend to keep the crowd size down for kiddos with sensory sensitivity. At least one of the 3 games played with be sensory friendly. All games are two innings, teams will consist of 10 to 11 players. Every child bats until they hit and advance one base. We will have options for batting to suit everyone’s individual ability.  At check in your child will be given team info and the game they are playing in along with a free All Abilities Baseball tee to wear. Only players and families please in the dugouts for the game you’re playing in. While waiting to play you can check out Leigh Creeks amazing fully accessible park, enjoy some yummy food From Joey’s Food truck available for purchase and get your photo taken by Three Photography. Make sure to hang out after your game, we will be taking a group photo and we have some fun giveaways you don’t want to miss.  During a sensory game we kindly ask you refrain from clapping, cheering and screaming. Let’s make sure all the kiddos enjoy themselves. If your kiddo needs a sensory break Lincoln Way Special Recreation has kindly allowed us to have access to their sensory room. Please be respectful and leave the room how you found it.  For kiddos with Special Abilities if you would like to tell us a head of time a little bit about your child we can make sure their team is aware of their abilities so we can make it enjoyable for them.  We would like to thank our Sponsors.
